Mr. Tolga Aran

Tolga Nasuh Aran is a graduate of the Counseling program at Middle East Technical University and holds a master’s degree in the field of family counseling and education from Dokuz Eylul University. He is the founder of the Izmir Region Branch of the Turkish Counseling Association, and founder of the Turkish Marriage and Family Counselors Association. He currently works as a school counselor in a vocational high school and maintains a clinical practice as a couple and family therapist in Izmir, Turkey.

Dr. Mary Ballard

Mary B. Ballard, Ph.D., is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana, and currently serves as Professor and Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence at Southeastern Louisiana University. Past President of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors and recipient of the American Counseling Association‘s President’s Award for Distinguished Leadership, Dr. Ballard has played an active role in the counseling profession for over 30 years.

Dr. Brian Canfield

Dr. Brian Canfield is a founding board member of the International Association of Psychology and Counseling. He is a licensed psychologist, marriage and family therapist, clinical mental health counselor, and master addictions counselor. He has 35 years of experience as a professor and clinician. In his clinical practice, Dr. Canfield specializes in working with couples and relationship issues. Dr. Canfield holds appointment at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida as Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Dr. James M. Devlin

Dr. James M. Devlin is a counselor educator at Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he teaches masters and doctoral- counseling students. Prior to his election to the IAPC Board of Directors, he served in leadership roles with International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). A native of Seattle, Washington, he and his wife Erin are the parents of two children. They make their home in Commerce, Texas.

Paul Dunne

Following a 20 year career in business, rising to director of the UK arm of a US-based multinational corporation, Paul changed course, trained as a counsellor, worked in NHS Primary Care and in 2001 qualified as a transpersonal psychotherapist at the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology. He later went on to serve as a teacher, company secretary and chief executive of the Centre over a number of years. Alongside his work as a psychotherapist Paul gained a reputation as an executive coach combining both his psychotherapeutic skills and business experience. Paul teaches a form of meditation based on mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Paul Dunne is the IAPC Board member for the UK.

Dr. David Fenell

Dr. David Fenell is a professor of Counselor Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He is a retired Army psychologist with significant international experience including assignments to Turkey, Germany, Colombia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He is the author of Counseling Families: An Introduction to Marriage Couple and Family Therapy.

Dr. Ed Gunberg

Dr. Ed Gunberg is an Associate Professor in the School of Professional Counseling at Lindsey Wilson University where he teaches in both the masters program in Mental Health Counseling and the doctoral program in Counselor Education and Supervision. Prior to moving into academia, Dr. Gunberg ran a private consulting firm in Northern Virginia for thirty years. He has held a variety of professional leadership positions including President of the Kentucky Mental Health Counseling Association and IAPC Kentucky State Chair.

Dr. Joseph Horak

Joseph J. Horak, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, family business consultant and leadership coach from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also is an Honorary Teaching Fellow and Entrepreneur in Residence at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. He is the former Director of the Family Owned Business Institute at Grand Valley State University. Dr. Horak has over 30 years of experience in clinical and academic settings.

Dr. Fotini Economides Kranou

Dr. Fotini Economides Kranou has more than 20 years of experience in Counseling in the government sector, university counseling centers and in the private sector. She currently teaches at the Psychology Department of Frederick University Cyprus.

Dr. Don Locke

Dr. Don W. Locke, Dean and Professor Emeritus at Mississippi College, is a former counselor educator at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Mississippi State University. He is a Past President and Fellow of the American Counseling Association; the International Association of Marriage and Family Counseling; the Association for Humanistic Education and Counseling; the Southern Region of Counselor Educators and Supervisors; and served as the Vice-Chair of the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. Dr. Locke has been an active counselor for the past 55 years and continues to serve as a professional counseling consultant.

Bonaventure Tuyisenge

Bonaventure Tuyisenge is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with Rwanda Allied Health Professional Council (RAHPC) and has been delivering counselling services, training, and lecturing for over 14 years at Kigali Health Institute, the University of Rwanda, and for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan. Additionally, he provides Psychological Support services as a UN Staff counsellor in Rwanda on a part-time basis. Bonaventure is a registered member of Rwanda Psychological Society (RPS). Concurrent with his Director position on the IAPC Board he serves as the Rwanda Chair of the IAPC.
