Founded in 1988, by Steven & Pauline Richards, Psycho-Systems Analysis is a Jungian based, depth-psychology modality, within the psychodynamic; integrative, clinical hypnosis, biopsychosocial, clinical-psychophysiology, evolutionary and field-informational domains of psychotherapy. It is part of the emerging new paradigm approach to 21st century psychology and psychotherapy, that includes the evolutionary psychiatry and psychotherapy of Dr Anthony Stevens, and the affective neuroscience, and neuropsychoanalysis of Professors Jaak Panksepp and Mark Solms. Early supporters of the development of Psycho-Systems Analysis, included: Franz Jung (only son of Carl Gustav Jung); founder of the biopsychosocial medical model; professor George L Engel; Jungian Analyst Dr Anthony Stevens; Dr Peter Nixon; and professor of neuroscience, Jungian analyst and Freudian analyst, Dr Ernest L Rossi. Psycho-Systems Analysts are trained to integrate Jungian psychotherapy with clinical psychophysiology, and a relevant standard of biomedical science, allowing them to work closely with medical practitioners. Psycho-Systems Analysts entered onto the IAPC Clinical Register are accredited by the International Psycho-Systems Analysis Society (IPSAS) – which is the governing body world-wide for the training of Psycho-Systems Analysts.
